Gina Black has been an active member of our Cranford Community for over thirty years and
currently serves a Cranford Township Commissioner.
While raising two sons, Aaron and Nick, Gina served on numerous committees in Cranford
Public Schools and was active in the Cranford Soccer Club. As Commissioner, Gina has
served as Liaison to the Recreation and Parks Department (2022-2023) where she helped
guide the completion of the new Recreation Center at 375 Centennial Ave. She currently
serves as Finance Commissioner (2024) and has taken an active role in the budgeting
process throughout her tenure on the Committee. Gina has also been an active supporter
of the Centennial Village Group and the Cranford Chamber of Commerce and serves as
Township Liaison to multiple community groups. Gina served for eight years on the board
of an employee-run corporate day care center, holding the positions of Treasurer and Vice
President.
Gina holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Penn State University and a Master of
Science in Medicinal Chemistry from Rutgers University. Working as a Research and
Development Scientist in the pharmaceutical industry led to her current position as a
Technical Application Specialist for a global, scientific instrument firm. Gina brings extensive
professional experience and management skills to her role as a Township Commissioner.
